Worship

Because I lead worship and participate on worship teams at church, I have been feeling a need to upgrade my worship attitude. Not that I have a bad attitude towards God, it's just that I see more and more religious mistakes made by worship leaders and when you lead worship, the lyrics, in my humble opinion must be based on the "Finished Works of the Cross"! Maybe there should be more teaching on this. We don't need to worship to "usher God's Presence into the church". He's already there. We DO need to act more in faith(trust) that He IS there and that He desires for us to realize a connection with Him and others. We are not desperate or helpless and if we are then that's a place of our own choosing. We're not sinners but sometimes we do sin. Sin IS NOT a lifestyle we adopted. Sin brings death in more ways than one if we don't deal with it in a Biblical New Covenant fashion: thank Jesus for becoming sin and then destroying it through His death and then thank Him for making us new creatures in Him. Our sin has been punished in Him and our sin nature has been put to death.
